Wilpattu National Park

Wilpattu National Park is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka. The park has been spread over 131500 hectares. It is been located in the North Western coast of the country and also boarded to North Central province and North Western province. More than 40 wetlands which are called Willis, are the special feature of the park.
There are about 30 species of Wild animals, like Leopards, Sloth bears, Asian Elephants, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, jackals, Wild bow, Water Crocodiles and Considerable collection of wetland birds and dry zone birds can be observed in this national park. This National Park can be visited throughout the year.
